Wildlife Removal Warranty (Premium Coverage) – Shields Wildlife

Overview
Our Premium Wildlife Removal Warranty offers you extended protection and peace of mind by covering re-entry, future infestations, and ongoing support for your property. This warranty is available for an additional fee and is designed to ensure long-term protection following our wildlife removal services. This warranty ensures the highest level of service, covering potential wildlife re-entry, ongoing inspections, and active assistance with any new issues, provided the work falls within the scope of the original estimate or invoice.

What’s Covered
This premium warranty covers the following:

  • Re-Entry Repairs: If wildlife re-enters through the areas that were sealed or excluded by our services, we will return and reseal those entry points at no additional charge. This only applies if the re-entry is directly related to the areas covered in the original scope of work from the invoice.

  • Complimentary Inspections: You’ll receive 3 complimentary inspections during the warranty period to ensure your home remains secure and wildlife-free. After the third inspection, there will be an inspection fee, even if the areas found to be covered under the warranty require further work or attention.

  • Priority Service: If new wildlife issues arise, your service request will be prioritized to ensure prompt attention and resolution.

  • Additional Exclusion Work: If we identify new vulnerable areas during our inspections, we will reseal them at no additional charge, provided the issues are found within the areas covered by the original estimate or invoice.

Warranty Duration & Cost

  • Warranty Duration: You can select a warranty duration ranging from 1 to 10 years based on your needs. Each year of coverage adds 20% to the base price of the warranty, calculated from the total cost of your wildlife removal invoice.

  • Cost: The cost for this warranty is 25% of the total cost of your wildlife removal invoice for the first year of coverage. For each additional year, an extra 20% of the total wildlife removal cost will be added to the price, based on the length of the coverage period selected.

Eligibility for Premium Coverage
This premium warranty coverage is only available for the most comprehensive wildlife removal estimate, which involves covering every potential entry point on the home that was identified during our first visit. The warranty is not available for estimates or invoices where the full scope of work was not performed from the beginning or where recommended work was not completed. Only complete coverage, as outlined in the original estimate or invoice, qualifies for this warranty.

Important Maintenance Responsibility
To maintain the integrity of your warranty, it is essential that you regularly maintain your property, including but not limited to:

  • Roof and Soffit Repairs: Ensure your roof and soffits are in good condition and free from holes or cracks that may allow wildlife access.

  • Vents and Chimneys: All vents, chimneys, and exhaust openings must be securely sealed and maintained to prevent wildlife from gaining entry.

  • Foundation and Entry Points: Any gaps, cracks, or vulnerabilities around your foundation, windows, doors, or other exterior openings should be sealed promptly.

  • Tree Branches and Debris: Trim overhanging tree branches and remove any debris or vegetation near your home that could provide a pathway for wildlife to gain access to your property.

Failure to properly maintain your property as outlined above will void the warranty. If entry points or other areas are left unsealed or allowed to deteriorate, and wildlife is able to re-enter your home, the warranty will not apply, and additional charges may be incurred for further removal or repairs.

Weather and Acts of God
This warranty does not cover damage caused by extreme weather events or other acts of God. This includes, but is not limited to, damage from storms, heavy winds, flooding, or any other natural disasters that may compromise the integrity of exclusion work or cause new entry points to form. In the event of weather-related damage, a new estimate will be provided to address the additional repairs. In these cases, the warranty may be voided, and the customer will be responsible for repairing any damages caused by these events.

What’s Not Covered
In addition to the weather-related exclusions mentioned above, the following are not covered by the Premium Warranty:

  • New Species or Infestations: If a different species of wildlife (not previously removed) invades your property, this warranty does not cover removal or exclusion for the new species.

  • Owner Negligence: If the homeowner fails to maintain the property, such as neglecting to seal new holes or gaps or leaving food sources accessible to wildlife, the warranty will be voided.

  • Property Modifications: Any significant alterations to the property (such as construction, landscaping, or renovations) that affect the integrity of the exclusion work may void the warranty.

  • False Claims: If after the 3 free inspections, no wildlife activity or issues are found, repeated false claims of hearing or spotting wildlife may result in the discontinuation of further inspections under the warranty. We reserve the right to suspend services if false claims are made consistently.

Property Damage Exclusions
If wildlife returns to your property under this warranty, we will not cover any damage to your home or property other than the re-entry hole. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Damage to insulation, walls, attics, electrical systems, or any other internal or external parts of the home.

  • Damage to or issues with the interior structure of your home that may have been caused by the wildlife while inside, such as holes, chewing, or damage to ducts and pipes.

This warranty only covers the repair or sealing of the entry hole(s) used by the wildlife to gain access, and the labor required to seal those areas. Any further damage to the property, whether caused by the wildlife or as a result of the intrusion, is not covered.

How to File a Warranty Claim
To file a warranty claim, simply contact us within the warranty period. We will schedule a visit to assess the situation and address any issues covered by the warranty. If necessary, we will re-seal entry points, conduct further removal, or provide any other covered services at no additional charge.

Transferability
This warranty is transferable to a new homeowner if you sell your property. The new owner will inherit the same protection under the terms of the original warranty.

Terms & Conditions

  • The warranty is valid only for the property that received the original wildlife removal and exclusion services. Additional properties are not covered.

  • Failure to maintain your property according to the outlined guidelines may void the warranty.

  • The warranty is only effective upon the payment of the warranty fee, which is 25% of the total cost of your wildlife removal invoice for the first year, plus 20% per year for each additional year of coverage. Services are not covered until this payment is received.
